ABOUT
Dr. Ajit C. Mehta is a senior consultant & interventional cardiologist in Pune. With over 15 years of experience in the field, Dr. Mehta practises at the reputed Jehangir Hospital, where he is a consulting cardiologist. After completing his MBBS & MD at prestigious institutions, he pursued Diplomate of the National Board (DNB) in Cardiology. These accomplishments were later followed by him becoming a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC) & Fellow of Cardiovascular Angiography & Interventions (FSCAI). He has treated hundreds of patients successfully till date & along with that, he has handled many complex procedures well. He has experience of treating coronary diseases with complex angiography & angioplasty, trans-catheter aortic valve replacement, temporary or permanent pacemaker implantations, & mitral valvuloplasty. He has also been involved in many live cases with his peers. Dr. Mehta has published more than 15 articles in the reputed Indian Heart Journal and has also given presentations at international conferences held related to the cardiology field.
During his practice, he has been honoured on many occasions, such as with the Padmashri Dr. Manibhai Desai Rashtraseva Puraskar, Kokanratna Puraskar & very recently as Icon of Health by the Times of India. He had been invited multiple times on television channels for informative sessions.
Though Dr. Ajit Mehta has performed hundreds of procedures, he strongly believes that lifestyle changes is the primary solution to any heart issue & he sets an example of the same by following a healthy lifestyle himself. Even with his great expertise in the field, Dr. Mehta is often regarded as a very soft-spoken person who listens to all his patients well & treats them with the utmost respect & care. It is his quality of kindness & his polite nature for which many, if not all, of his patients refer to him as a talented doctor but also an amazing human being.
